In Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal) the fifth event of the "ResiliEurope" project carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira.
From December 1st, Vila Nova de Cerveira and Portugal will be at the centre of the European debate thanks to the participation of institutional representatives and civil society from thirteen different European countries in the activities of the ResiliEurope project, funded by the European Commission for ASEL - Associazione Sarda Enti Locali in the framework of the Europe for Citizens programme.
Thanks to the collaboration between ASEL , Focus Europe and the Municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira , local administrators from Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Corsica, Germany, Greece, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Spain and Sweden, together with Italian and Albanian delegates, will address the issue of resilience in a time of serious economic and social crisis, with the aim of promoting the participation of European citizens in the life of the Union.
In detail, the Portuguese event will focus on two important topics: the Portuguese experience in managing the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change.
The main event, a public conference that will be broadcast live on the project's Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/resilieurope ), will be attended by politicians and experts who will delve into the repercussions that the pandemic has had on Portuguese society and citizens, and students from local schools who will debate with those present how essential it is to carry on a real and important battle on climate change.
